Overview

Located in the heart of Paris at 96 Rue Montorgueil, Grom is a distinguished ice cream shop that transports its patrons straight to the gelato traditions of Italy. Specializing in artisanal gelato crafted with raw materials sourced from Turin, Grom offers a genuine taste experience rarely found in the French capital. The shop’s menu highlights include standout flavors such as Pistachio, Glace Chocolat Noisette Et Marron Glacé, and an intriguing fusion of マンゴー バニラ ヨーグルト レモン, showcasing a rich blend of textures and taste profiles.

The main dishes here center around expertly crafted gelato served in various formats: classic cornet glaces, the decadent brioche glace pistache, and thoughtfully prepared servings that emphasize freshness and creaminess. The pistachio flavor, while perhaps not the top pick for those who have tasted Italian gelato extensively, still surpasses typical French offerings in authenticity and depth. Meanwhile, options like the hazelnut ice cream have been praised for their soft, velvety texture, appealing to both traditionalists and newcomers.

Grom succeeds in balancing rich indulgence with subtle sweetness, avoiding overwhelming sugariness without sacrificing flavor density. Their affogato, blending dark chocolate ice cream with crème chantilly, stands out as a must-try for those seeking richness paired with light creaminess. The cherry cheesecake all’amarena is another favorite, delivering a perfect harmony of tart and creamy elements that extend the pleasure in every bite.

The shop itself offers a cozy, intimate atmosphere, although seating is quite limited, prompting many guests to enjoy their gelatos on the go or at nearby spots. This creates a lively vibe that complements the Montorgueil district’s vibrant street life and culinary scene, attracting locals and tourists alike who seek quality frozen desserts with a genuine Italian touch.

Targeted at ice cream enthusiasts who appreciate authentic gelato craftsmanship and the finesse of Italian ingredients, Grom serves as an oasis of quality in Paris. Whether you’re revisiting classic flavors or exploring innovative blends like mango and caramel, the experience feels both familiar and refreshingly distinct. For those who prefer delicate balance over exaggerated sweetness or aggressively sour notes, Grom offers a refined palette that respects tradition while embracing subtle creativity.

Overall, Grom is a compelling destination for anyone craving premium gelato in Paris. Its commitment to authentic sourcing, artisanal techniques, and vibrant neighborhood setting creates an inviting retreat for lovers of creamy, flavorful ice cream. With attentive service and a menu that appeals to diverse tastes, Grom is an essential stop for a gelato experience that resonates beyond simple dessert into genuine culinary enjoyment.

Amazing gelato, as good as the Grom stores in Italy with amazing flavors and texture! After trying countless gelato stores in Italy, I was a bit sad to find that Paris doesn’t offer nearly as good quality ones until I stumbled across Grom and Gelateria La Romana. Definitely an oasis in the middle of the desert. I got the pistachio and hazelnut, personally didn’t love the pistachio as much as others I’ve tried in Italy, but it’s still worlds better than any other french ice cream!

After being on some amazing Gelato spree in Italy, we came across Grom and Gelato being done right the Parisian way. We ordered the Cheery cheesecake ( all’amarena) and it came out perfect. Just the right amount of flavors that keep every bite going. They do make Affogato’s as well though we didn’t end up getting one. All kudos to Marcellin for making our experience so amazing and he did inform us that the raw material is sourced from Turin and it did taste very authentic. Would surely try to stop by again in the next few days that we happen to be here

The icecream is very nice. Creamy and not too sweet, the cone was good also. But I don’t recommend citron flavor, was too sour. Mango and caramen flavor were good. No option to sit there, very small space.

Today I tried an exceptional almond granita, one of the best I've ever eaten. You could feel that it's made with real almond paste, not just almond milk. Also the sweetness was perfect, I could enjoy the delicate almond flavor without it being overpowered by sugar. The taste was truly natural and refined

Grom in Paris delivered exactly what I hoped for—classic gelato done right, with clean flavors and velvety texture. We ordered the strawberry, mango, hazelnut, and their signature pistachio, and honestly, each one held its own. The fruit flavors were bright and naturally sweet—especially the mango, which tasted like peak-season fruit blended into a smooth sorbetto. The strawberry was just as fresh, not overly sugary. But it was the hazelnut and pistachio that really stood out—creamy, nutty, and deeply flavorful without being heavy. The pistachio, in particular, lives up to the hype: balanced, earthy, and the perfect finish to a walk through Paris. Service was fast and friendly, and the vibe at this location felt more local than touristy. Definitely one of the more consistent gelato spots in the city.
